S-Works Stumpjumper 29, well the frame at least. This ones a bit of a bitsa built up from older bikes and new bits.
The frame: light strong carbon frame delivers 140mm bump-devouring suspension and effortless control. Super fun, nimble, and settles into a climb beautifully with amazing traction on the ups and downs.
The fork: 2020 Pike Ulitmate, 150mm of buttery, fluttery travel, so customizable, I’ve sent days getting the compression just right, but only because I like turning the knobs, Charger™ 2.1 damper increases confidence and control over every trail.
New Shimano XT, the plan was to have a full xt group set, but I had a nice set of Carbon Bontrager wheels with a Sram XD driver, so I’ve been using a Sram 12speed cassette on Shimano XT 12sp, neither companies recommend it, but I’ve been running this set up for 6 months with no issues. Shimano XT 12sp is sweet
Tyres, a new Specialized Trail Grid Butcher up front for the steering and a Maxxis Ardent in the back for fast rolling and climbing. Don’t usually mix and match tyre brands, but I’m enjoying this set up.
