We made it! Winter surfing is here. Water temperatures have been sitting around the 12c for the last month (59ish for you northerners), with some really cold air temperatures recorded. Winter swells have been fun, though I personally missed most of the good days due to having injuries and just feeling old on my days off. Always too much to do, not enough time to do it. I’ve been trying out the new stitchless O’Neill Hyperfreak 4/3mm, I’m pretty toasty out there. The shop is filling up with 4/3mm wetsuits and 5/4mm hooded. There’s a bit of snow on the hills, but the days are still not too bad. 3mm booties and a hood, no gloves yet. We have our best range of 3mm and 5mm booties ever, so if you’re feeling it, come in, and we’ll get you sorted. Plenty of gloves, hoods, and wax to keep you going as well.
